It was going to be a shaker rib stitch pullover. I was smitten with the yarn, a Berroco cotton blend, but the project was falling way short of my expectations. I was not happy with the neckline or the shoulders and after two starts and quite a bit of time invested, I gave up, ripped it out and wound it back into balls. Disappointed and frustrated, I dumped the balls into that baggy, sealed it up tight, and stuffed it back into the dark recesses of my stash for a time-out. Out of sight, out of mind, and forgotten until that moment after the accidental yarn spill.
Seeing it there rekindled my affection for the yarn and my desire to use it in a project. It is a perfect yarn for a spring top and spring is right around the corner (I know this not from looking out my window at the sleet and snow this morning but from pictures in the catalogs that have been arriving daily in my mailbox). I want to turn it into something light and lacey and easy to wear.
