I came across a stitch pattern recently that reminded me of the tracks those skiers leave behind. It is aptly called Slalom Stitch. I started thinking about how I could incorporate it into something I could wear in the mountains and around town in Omaha as the weather cools. I swatched the stitch is a couple different fibers but loved the way it looked in Brown Sheep's Burly Spun the best. I decided to try a vest.
This was one of those projects for me that just flowed so easily from stitch idea to design to finished object (I love when that happens!). The gauge of 10 sts to 4" makes it a very fast knit and it has just enough going on from row to row to keep the knitting interesting. I call the pattern Timber Run.
