Zihua Cardigan
Zihua (ZEE-wha) is named for Zihuatanejo, a little city near Ixtapa on Mexico's west coast. It features a tall collar and wide overlapping fronts with easy to work, reversible, chevron panels. Snuggle in with the collar up or wear the collar folder over and the fronts draped open--either way the chevron panels look great!
Comfortable for year round wear in Maya, a cotton/alpaca blend from Berroco.

Hanne Sweater
Published in Knitscene Magazine's Fall 2014 issue, the Hanne Sweater is a fun knit in Sincere Sheep's Luminous--a beautiful blend of wool and silk. If the color doesn't make you smile it's name will "kung hey fat choi" lol. What better way to beat the winter chill than with a hot color like this one?
Hanne, a top-down raglan, is worked with the yarn held double so it knits up fast. It has garter stitch wedge shaped panels on each side and a shirttail hem. For pattern details click here. |

Martie
Perfect for fall (winter too!), Martie has a fitted shape and a deep square front neckline. The open mock cables run down the front, back and sleeves. It can be worn right against your skin 'cause the Sheperd's Wool from Stonehedge Fiber Mill is soooo soft, but it looks great layered over a camisole or tank top or even a shirt!
It is knit flat from the top down until you get to the bottom of the front neckline where it is joined for knitting in the round. The cable panel repeat is easy to remember so once you get things set up the pattern is really very straightforward. If you prefer a more relaxed fit, pick a size with finished measurements closer to your actual measurements and consider omitting the waist shaping.

Ladder Sleeve Pullover
Relaxed fit, boat neck, shaped bottom, 3/4 length dolman sleeves and an openwork 'ladder' down the sleeves add up to my new favorite pullover.
It is knit sideways (from cuff to cuff) in one piece in Berroco's Karma on US size 11's making it a fast, fun project. The ladder panel is an easy to remember two row repeat worked over 4 stitches. The pullover is very soft and very comfortable. The dolman sleeve adds plenty of ease at the bust line. The finished circumference of the body at the hip is 33.25 (35.25, 37.25, 39.25, 42, 44.75, 50.5)". |

The perfect pullover for springtime: lightweight, lacey, shorter sleeves and length... Layer it over a tank top or cami. I used Berocco's Captiva in Silver Coin. This lovely fiber is a machine washable cotton blend and feels very good against your skin.
The pullover is worked from the top-down and in the round and only the tiniest bit of finishing is required. The Lace panel runs down the front, back and sleeves. The Lace pattern is an easily memorized 4 stitch multiple/4 row repeat. Once you complete the set up row and get your markers into place this becomes an easy project with just a bit of stitch counting so you can watch that movie or have that glass of wine and not lose your place. Finished size: 34 (38, 42, 48, 52)" bust circumference For more pattern information click here. |
lucky four leaf clover mitts
For children and adults, these lucky mitts are perfect for St. Patrick's Day and leave the fingers free to type, text, play and knit. They are knit in worsted weight yarn and are a good stash buster. The Adult size with use about 100 yards (that is half a skein of Plymouth's yarn's Galway) and the child's pair takes half that again. |
Cabled Fingerless Mitts![]() In worsted weight yarn and sized for adults, these mitts are fun to knit and warm too. They coordinate with Tyler's Cabled vest on my For Pets page.

Boatneck Raglan![]() This sweater has a relaxed fit and is meant to be worn over a camisole or a long sleeved tee-shirt. It is knit from the top down and in the round and has minimal finishing.
This is a great beginner's project! Sized to fit chest measurements of 34.75 (36.75, 39.5, 42.25, 45.25, 48)". Shown here in size 36.75" on model with 36.5" chest. I used Plymouth Yarn's Casuale in a lovely gray varigated palette, but any worsted weight yarn will do nicely. You will need from 900-1200 yards depending on size. For more details click here. |

The convertible Hat/Neckwarmer
Two accessories in one! Simple to knit and fun to wear. With the lacing pulled tight and tied it is a hat. With the lacing loose it can be worn as a neckwarmer two different ways. You can just just open the lacing, pull it down and fold the top over OR you can turn it upside-down and wear like it is pictured here. Very versatile, very fun!
To fit girls and women, the project is knit in the round with super bulky and worsted weight yarns. For more details click here.
